Quality assurance & handling
Measurable specifications and documents you can verify.

Create an agreed specification
An ingredient specification may cover product identity, form, appearance, cut or particle size, packaging, lot identification and any agreed analytical requirements.
Use measurable language where possible. A particle-size range, pack configuration or documented test method is more useful than a phrase such as “finest quality”.
Organic and certification evidence
The company profile describes its range as certified organic ingredients. Ask for the certificate that applies to the specific product and lot you are purchasing, with the certifying body and validity dates.
Always match the certificate to your destination market and customer requirements before placing an order.
Traceability and handling
Ask how lots are identified, how material is stored and dispatched, and what paperwork accompanies each shipment. State any change-control or traceability needs in your first message.
Keep lot documents with your inventory record so material and paperwork stay together.
Verify the company itself
Incorporation records are held by the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC), Ghana. A business name search or status check can be made through the ORC portal or the *222# short code.
Certified true copies of incorporation documents can be requested through the same channels.
